Viviane Forest is the first Canadian female athlete to win Gold medals in both Summer and winter Olympic or Paralympic Games. She is a Triple Gold Medal Paralympian from 2000, 2004 and 2010. Her story is stunning and captivating. Her recent five medal podium finish at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games had her collecting over 25% of Canada’s medals. Her tenacious determination and commitment to her dreams create a humorous and intense story, sure to inspire.

With Blinding Speed and No Fear!

In her first year of ski racing in 2007, with used equipment and duct tape, Viviane Forest won 13 of 14 races on the NorAm race circuit. This speed demon was just getting warmed up. Viviane is available for motivational speaking, special appearances, and sports demos.

Viviane has 4% vision. Viviane races with a sighted guide who skis no more than 4 meters in front of her. Via 2 way radios and verbal cues this dynamic duo charges down international alpine race courses, around gates and glacial terrain. They  has been clocked at over 115 km/hour!

In 2009 Viviane earned 20 podium finishes out of 23 races. She won the prestigious Overall Crystal Globe for the best performance on the World Cup Tour in her category. She also earned 3 Crystal Globes in Downhill, Super Combined, and Giant Slalom. She holds the current Super Combined World Championship Title.

Viviane appeals to many organizations because of her charm and ability to speak authoritatively in both French and English. The challenges of ski racing are very different from the life lessons she has learned growing up with decreasing vision and a learning disability. Her dedication and pursuit of excellence create a very inspiring and motivating story that she is willing to share with you and your organisation.

Motivational Speaker and Role Model

Between training and competing, Viviane is an inspiring public speaker at corporate and community events. Her presentations are genuine, strong, and they motivate people to be active and reach for their goals and dreams. In the past ten years, she has spoken to approximately 10,000 people across Canada.

She frequently speaks at corporate gatherings and often accepts speaking engagements for public events or fundraisers. She has experience speaking to small groups like a classroom or board meeting and large conference gatherings in convention centres.
